Culburra Beach

Culburra Beach is situated on a peninsula to the North which opens to the Crookhaven River. This river flows through Curleys Bay – earlier named Oyster Bay and through National Park to Lake Wollumboola to the south.

There are beautiful beachside areas to the north and south of the township. Warrain beach to the south joins Lake Wollumboola and is only separated by a sandbar.

Culburra is a recreational paradise for children and adults alike with rock, lake and ocean fishing, surfing, tennis and other activities.

Culburra is a very popular tourist resort. The surf beach is regarded as Nowra’s surf beach while sailboarding on Lake Wollumboola is a year round activity.

The northern beach is Culburra Beach, this a dog friendly area. Your pooch can be off lead before 8.00am and after 4.00pm.

The Culburra Beach Bugle bi-monthly newsletter is available at the Post Office & local Culburra shops.
